MSR Houston Announces New Spec Racer Ford Challenge Series
Join us for some great winter racing: MSR Houston's first season of the Spec Miata Challenge was so successful, they're doing it again. But this time, MSR Houston and Spec Racer Sports are proud to introduce the inaugural Spec Racer Ford Challenge Series as well..
Each round will feature two 8-lap heat races. The finishing order of the previous race (or qualifying) will determine the starting grid for the next race, except the top five will be inverted. We will flip a coin the day of the race to determine the track direction. Participants will earn points throughout the rounds, determining a champion by your best four rounds. The winner will receive his or her name on a plaque in the MSR Houston Clubhouse. First through third will also receive trophies. All races will be open to Spec Miata & Spec Racer Ford owners. All cars must be in legal Spec Miata & Spec Racer Ford prep and have an SCCA or NASA logbook to prove it. Check below for a detailed schedule.

December 11- $50:
2 p.m.- Practice for SM & SRF
2:30 p.m.- Split-start Qualifying for SM & SRF
3 p.m.- SM Race 1 (Grid based on qualifying, with top 5 inverted)
3:30 p.m. - SRF Race 1 (Grid based on qualifying, with top 5 inverted)
4 p.m.- SM Race 2 (Grid based on results of Race 1, with top 5 inverted)
4:30 p.m.- SRF Race 2 (Grid based on results of Race 1, with top 5 inverted)
5 p.m.- Dinner at the Clubhouse
December 18 & January 1- $50 each:
2:30 p.m.- Practice for SM & SRF
